End of Summer September 13, 2011

Hello All….

Soon it will be the end of summer, and a new beginning.

Hope you enjoyed your summer holidays – you managed to relax, enjoy the sea, enjoy a bit more of computer and TV, and I hope you also found some time to read and revise.

In a few days time you will be wearing your uniform again. This time to go to Junior 2!!!!! I’m sure you are all soooooo excited. I’m sure you must have something new too – maybe a new pair of shoes, or some new colours, maybe even a new bag or lunch-box.

Enjoy kids this exciting time and Good Luck for Junior 2 – you’ll enjoy it, and you’ll all do well.

Graduation Day July 4, 2011

Tuesday 28th June 2011 was a proud day to all the parents, all the children of Junior 1 and us the teachers and carers. It was so nice to see the children all dressed up in their smart uniform, with their sach and their Graduation Hats. And to see the excitement on their faces.

Well done to all the children – you have worked hard this year. I am so proud of you ALL. A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents for your support throughout the year. Without your care, input and support we wouldn’t have done half of what we did.

Children – enjoy your summer holidays because you deserve it. But find time to revise (you have your Summer Packs) and also don’t forget to read. I’ll see you all in September – you will all be grownups in Junior 2 :)! I am going to miss you.

…this week… June 22, 2011

This is an update so that you will know what we have been up to this week.

So last week we finished our Revision Packs – and that is the end of our HW and SW. 🙂

This week we are finalizing things. We have finished the pom-poms with the wool you had sent. We have been painting the Graduation Hat – which we will be sticking together tomorrow. We have been practising the songs with the Junior 1B for our Graduation Day. We are planning for the Graduation Party – we have nearly all the items bought and they are in the classes. We will start our cooking on Friday, and continue on Monday.

As a reminder the Graduation is on Tuesday 28th June. The children come to school at 8am, the parents will join us at 9am in the hall, where the children will perform till about 10am. Then there will be a party until 11am.

This week too we will be measuring the children to see how much they have grown since October. We are celebrating some birthdays of children who celebrate theirs during the summer holidays. The children will be taking the last few items that we still have in class.

On Friday I will be sending with the children the Summer Pack – this is to serve as a revision for the children during the summer holidays, so that they continue revising. Also don’t forget the reading :)!

Library Books June 9, 2011

Some children still have their library books at home. Most of the children have 2 books at home. Could you kindly send them with your child by tomorrow?
